WESTERN AND WEST MIDLANDS TRAFFIC AREAS

Brake Bros

BRAKE BROS IS looking to temporarily vary the condition already in place at its facility in Summit Avenue, Farnborough – currently authorised for 28 vehicles and eight trailers – to enable it to service the Olympic and Paralympic games.

The existing permanent condition at the yard is: • movements of the authorised vehicles into and out of the operating centre are conined to the hours of 5am to 11pm, except that one vehicle can leave outside these hours and four vehicles may return in the period 11pm to 1am.

The condition does not prevent vehicles arriving in contravention of these limits in exceptional circumstances, like vehicle breakdown or abnormal trafic conditions. When such an event occurs, the trafic commissioner (TC) needs to be informed in writing giving the circumstances within ive days. The proposed temporary change of condition is: • movements of the authorised vehicles into and out of the operating centre will be conined to the hours of 5am to 11pm, except that nine vehicles may leave outside these hours and nine more may return in the period 3am to 5am. The period of change is from Friday 20 July 2012 to Friday 17 September 2012 inclusive. All existing conditions will remain in force before and after these dates.

The condition will not prevent vehicles arriving in contravention of these limits in exceptional circumstances like vehicle breakdown or abnormal trafic conditions. When such an event occurs the TC will be informed in writing, giving the circumstances within ive days.
