TWO substantial tipper applications

appear in this week's North Western "As and Ds." The first is an application by J. Bacon and Co., Ltd., of Blackley (Manchester) to switch eight tippers from a contract A to a B licence which are said to weigh, unladen, 38 tons. The second application is a straight addition of 20 3+-ton tippers to the B licence of P. J. Stephens (Contractors), Ltd., of Burnage7-again in Manchester. This application concerns work on behalf of the Central Electricity Board.

• This week there are applications for armoured vans by Securicor Ltd., the security specialists, in most areas.
