AN order for 125 Octopuses has been placed with Leyland Motors, Ltd., by British Road Services. Some 600 of these vehicles are already in service. Nearly 350 Leylands have now been ordered by B.R.S. this year, including a fleet of Beaver and Comet tractors. The new Octopus eight-wheelers, for 24ton gross loads, will have trailing rear axles.

Thirty Comet forward-control chassis have been ordered by S. W. Everitt, Ltd., for the delivery of concrete by Ready Mixed Concrete, Ltd. The vehicles will have high-discharge mixers of the American Willard pattern, to be built by Ransomes and Rapier, Ltd.
