• Perkins will be showing a prototype for the next generation of Gardner diesels at the Birmingham Motor Show in September. The only details available at present are that the six-cylinder unit is aimed at the truck, bus and coach market, and has a number of technical refinements compared to current engines. These include an aluminium crankcase, a revised combustion system, and modifications to the cooling system.
:Cummins has a further "Allin-One" overhaul kit in its range, the latest addition being designed for the 14-litre diesels.
