Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A £25,000 SURVEY, aimed at improving bus safety standards, is being jointly financed by the Department of Industry's Mechanical Engineering and Machine Tools Requirements Board and MIRA.

The scheme is called the National Public Service Vehicle Accident Survey, LT, NBC, SBG and several local authorities are among the passenger transport undertakings participating. Others may join.

MIRA is currently carrying out the work which is planned to last for two years, but which may he extended.

So far MIRA has sent 4,500 accident report forms to 21 organisations for details of accidents in their areas.
