• New Quick Frozen Food Stuffs (Amendment) Regulations 1994, (S.I. 1994/298) were introduced last week. These require transporters to: • Have a recording device fit ted (except local distributors who only need a thermometer). 0 Maintain foodstuffs at -8°C for primary distribution and -15°C for local distribution.
The regulations say records must be kept for a year (longer for some foods). Records must be produced on demand to Trading Standards and Environmental Health Officers.
