Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Commercial Motor's Lorry Driver of the Year for 1978 is Tom Kerr of Esso at Bowling, Strathclyde, who beat his nearest rival for the championship by nearly 100 penalty points to take the title.

Nearly 20,000 people attended the finals of the competition on Sunday at their new home of Cranfield, Bedfordshire, and they saw an exciting contest as over 300 regional class winners lined up for a crack at the title.

The event was preceded by a dinner on Saturday night for the LDoY Association members and the 19 former champions who came to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of the competition which was also attended by association chairman Sir Dan Pettit.

For a full report of the events of the day see page 26.
