Schenkers, as many TIR operators know, handle most types of cargoes to almost any place in the world. So what's so unusual about a 71/2-ton (750-kilo) load between Bristol and Sweden?

This was a crate about six feet square and 141/2 feet high: contents Gelli, a Masai giraffe. The crate was mounted on an ultra-low trailer which was pulled by a tipper! The route avoided low bridges;, after all a decapitated giraffe isn't much use for breeding. It is now engaged on its new career at Barras Zoo.
