Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

STAFFORDSHIRE Police have launched an operation to tackle thefts from LGVs in the run up to Christmas.

Operation Mistletoe will focus primarily on the A500 in Hanchurch, which is heavily used by trucks. It will run throughout the winter, involving a high-visibility police presence as well as covert vehicles and plainclothed officers.

Inspector Elliott SharrardWi ams says: "While this type of offence is committed throughout the year, there is evidence to suggest a seasonal upturn in the run up to Christmas. We are encouraging all motorists to report any suspicious activity to assist officers in gathering information."

Operation Mistletoe is a popular name for police operations. As well as the Staffordshire campaign, police in Manchester are running an Operation Mistletoe to combat domestic violence and last year police in Conwy used the same name for their Christmas alcohol-control operation.
