A BIGGER share of the traffic in 1-1 gypsum being freely delivered to farms devastated in the recent floods should be given to private-enterprise contractors. This opinion was expressed by the spreading committee of the British Agricultural Contractors' Association, following a statement that nearly all the gypsum would be carried by nationalized transport.

The committee pointed out to the Ministry of Agriculture that spreading vehicles would be readily available during June and July, but that afterwards they would be fully occupied in their own areas and more difficult to obtain.
