CITROEN AND FIAT have set prices and payloads for their jointly developed mini-Sevel vans, badged Expert and Scudo respectively. The new vans are bigger than the outgoing models; options include three wheelbases and two roof heights.

The Citroen Expert's power comes from two turbo-diesels: a 1.6-litre with 90hp and a 2.0-litre producing either 120hp or 136hp.

The Fiat Multijet also comes with three power outputs, from a 90hp 1.6-litre lump and a 2.0-litre rated at 120hp and 140hp.

Load volumes have grown to 5.0m3, 6.0m3 and 7.0m' with payloads of 1,000kg and 1,200kg.

Prices for the Citroen start at £13,670 for the 1000L1 H1 90 and top out at £16,670 for the 1200 L2H2 120 LX.The entrylevel Fiat Business 1.6L1 H1 is listed at £12,830, rising to £16,400 for the Deluxe 2.0-litre 120 H2 L2.
