A MAN who took a Hants anc Dorset bus from Basingstoke bus station, rather than wait for the next, parked it outside hiF. house and welit to bed. Wher the police knocked at his door he admitted taking the bus withoui permission and driving withoui insurance, justifying his action with the words: "Well, I had to get home somehow."
In an age of instant gratification, anything goes. I remember a 15-year-old boy admitting without shame that he would attack anyone to steal his taxi fare home if he were short of money. Whatever happened to the legs that people used to nave?
