AIt has been reported that 25,000 acres of virgin land are to be set aside for industrial development in the hinterland of the port of Le Havre.
The deep water anchorage enables the largest tankers in Europe to berth and some observers think Le Havre will rival Rotterdam as the Europort of the 1970s. If this forecast proves correct there will be many opportunities for road transport and container service operators to provide facilities based on Le Havre.
