Authority, MT. A. H. Jolliffe, reserved his decision on an application by Leinster Ferry Transport Ltd., Corporation Street, Belfast, which was concluded at Chancy last week: The application, which was part-heard (The Commercial Motor, February 1, 1963), was for six new articulated vehicles on A licence to be based. at Lodge Street, Preston, one of the main reasons given for their acquisition being to cut dorirn sub-contracting.

Opening the evidence for the objectors a British 'Railways representative said they considered that the applicant was trying to cater for future demands instead of those of the present; and the railways were quite able to cope with more traffic. The Preston superintendent of British Road Services stated that they had spare capacity on their fleet of vehicles.
