rXPANSION of the activities of

Global Tours, Ltd., is expected to result from• the taking by Great Universal Stores, Ltd., of a substantial financial interest in the company. Head of G.U.S. is Mr. Isaac Wolfson, the financier (The Commercial Motor, February 22).

The investment does not represent a complete take-over. The present board of directors will continue, G.U.S. adding. another director to look after their interests. Mr. Wolfson will be concerned with policy only in so far as it affects the financial development of the company.

B.R.S. OVERTIME AND NIGHTWORK PAY CLAIMS AFTER further discussions with the Transport and General Workers' Union, British Road Services have agreed to reconsider a claim for improved overtime rates for operating and ancillary grades which they rejected last month.

B.R.S. are also considering an application for improved pay for night work for engineering, maintenance and repair staff. The claim is for payment at time-and-a-third; instead of at timeand-a-fifth.

A pay dispute with H. and G. Simonds, Ltd., brewers, Reading, has been referred by the Union to the Ministry of Labour.
