• The Austrian federal government has banned HGVs from the Brenner pass between 22:00 and 05:00hrs from 1 December following a call by the Tyrol regional government. The Brenner is used by 4,000 vehicles a day transporting some 10,000 tonnes of freight: Of these 700 travel at night.
