MAY I bring to your attention the advertisements featured in Commercial Motor, (May 18, 1985, page 61), by Strathclyde Commercials and North Staffs Commercials, which contain reference to our trade mark Taudiner in a generic sense.

The trade mark Taudiner is registered in our name under numbers 112 4188 in Class 26, 112 4187 in Class 20, 112 4186 in Class 12, 112 4185 in Class 7, 112 4184 in Class 6 and 95 8223 in Class 12.

As registered proprietor of the trade mark Taudiner, we have exclusive and protected use in relation to curtainsided vehicles. Use of the name Tautlincr in a generic sense, and particularly the reference in the Strathclyde Commercials advertisement to a 'Southtields Tautliner", is wholly unacceptable.
