A Under the Heavy Goods Vehicles

(Drivers' Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 1972, Statutory Instrument No. 1956, the holder of a psv driving licence may drive a vehicle (not being an articulated vehicle) having an unladen weight not !xceeding 10 tons. However, it must be

vehicle which belongs to the holder of a public service vehicle licence and it must ae used only for the purpose of proceeding to or returning from a place where assistance is to be or has been rendered to a disabled vehicle which is itself' a public "ierviee vehicle. Alternatively, it must be aged for moving such a disabled vehicle o as to prevent it causing an obstruction Dr towing it from where it has broken :town to a place where it is to be repaired, bored or broken up.

These Regulations came into effect on lanuary 18 1973.
