Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ASHFORD COUNCIL has outlined plans to combat problems with truck drivers parking illegally in Orbital Park following complaints from locals about noise, rubbish and damage to property.

Last April the Kent and Ashford Transport Board banned trucks from parking at all times on roundabouts and junctions and at night on both the Orbital Business Park and Ashford Business Park estates. But many drivers have been forced to continue to park there due to the nearby Ashford truckstop being full (CM 14 August 2002). Following a meeting with the council. Euroturmel, which owns nearby Ashford truckstop, has pledged to pay £2,500 for an extra rubbish collection every week.

Councillors have also discussed the possibility of installing signs on the M20 to warn truck drivers that the truck stop is full before they pull off the motorway. and opening a second truck park at Junction 11. where Operation Stack begins.

A spokesman for Eurotunnel says it is working closely with the local authority to alleviate the problems caused by trucks parking on the industrial site.
