Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

With the MASCOT--MultiAccess Systems Control Terminal—introduced by Pye Telecommunications Ltd, one or more operators can have integrated control of a number of separate radio stations. The design concept adopted has reduced the space requirements considerably although up to 20 control points can be provided and further extensions can be achieved by the simple addition of a "facility extension kit".

The Pye-MASCOT is suitable for use with any radio-telephone control system where more than one operator or channel is involved. It consists of a line-terminating unit, which can either be housed in a console or desk, or can be rack-mounted, the appropriate number of control units, available in an attractive teak cabinet for desk-top mounting or for fitting into a console and a simple common trunk cable highway. The operators can monitor or select any or all circuits on transmit/receive and to switch a range of functions at the remote sites. Simplex or duplex operation on any or all circuits is possible and a supervisory lamp indication is built into each control unit.
