MORE CUMMINS-powered vehicles than any other type were registered last year ill the 29 tonne-plus sector of' the UK truck market, ;recording to figures front the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.

The American-owned engine company, with British manufacturing plants at. Daventry, Darlington and Shotts, is particularly pleased at having out-sold Volvo last year, the first time it has done so. Bedford is one of several other vehicle manufacturers which are showing interest in the B Series, and TLs with the new engines are currently undergoing fleet trials.
