BRS Western has made directors of two of its senior managers — Jeremy Coates, previously head of finance, and Stuart James, area general manager for Wales.
Coates is now financial director. He joined BRS Western as head of finance in December, 1984, from Midsummer Inns.
James joined BRS Western in 1972 from Swansea University with a degree in social studies. Most of his career has been spent with the company in line and product management, although for a period of time he was distribution manager with Cartransport, another National Freight Consortium subsidiary. He became BRS Western's area general manager for Wales in 1983, giving him management responsibility for the company's seven Welsh branches.
