Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Wednesday by Mr. P. Green. clerk to the West Midlands Licensing Authority, a new 45,000-rsq-ft. warehouse at Flaxley Road. Stechford, will be operated by Storage and Haulage Ltd.. in conjunction with a chain of company warehouses in West Bromwich, Brown Hill, Erdington. South Yardley and Stratford upon Avon. A member company of the Transport Development Group Ltd., the concern operates over 50 vehicles ranging from five-ton vans mainly of B.M.C. manufacture to Atkinson maximum load articulated vehicles, and specializes in the handling of breakfast cereals and so on for distribution to wholesale grocers. hospitals and stores within a radius of 40 Miles, mainly in the southern section Of the region, the West Bromwich warehouse serving the northern zone. Other commodities such as paper, machinery and canned food are also handled.

The warehouse in this section is divided by a service road, and the buildings include 2.000 sq. ft. of groundfloor Office space and a caretaker's upper-floor flat. The warehouse roof offers natural lighting through Perspex sheeting, and lighting is by fluorescent tubes. One part of the building is 300 ft. by 120 ft. whilst the second section measures 165 ft. by 60 ft.

Cartons arc stacked to a height of 16 ft., a substantial proportion being pallet loaded and handled by a Coventry Climax and a Ransomes fork-lift truck whilst a Rapier live-ton mobile crane is employed for heavy machinery.

Ample aisle width gives road vehieles as well as trucks free access to the stacking area. The stacking height of the cartons is limited to the load carrying capacity of the lower cartons and future plans include the construction or mezzanine floors to augment the usable storage space. Mr. J. D. Lockhart recently succeeded Mr. T. E. Weatherhog as managing director of the company, Mr. Weatherhog now being vice-chairman of the concern.
