• A bid for a new licence by father and son James and Darren Flitcroft, trading as IV Haulage, of Stockport, has been adjourned by North Western LA Martin Albu. The Flitcrofts were seeking a national licence for four vehicles and four trailers— a previous licence held by James Flitcroft was revoked because he did not have a professionally competent transport manager.

He made an application to renew the licence in January and had found a new transport manager in July The company had two vehicles in possession: he drove one; Darren drove the other.
