FINE FARE has overcome th problem of off-loadin vehicles of different platforr heights by installing hydrauli scissor lifts, manufactured b: T. I. Recker Lifts Ltd of Wem bley, at several of its super markets.
The , 2000kg (39.4cwt capacity lift is installed in shallow pit at the discharg( point so that the platform, ir the down position, is level with the surrounding area.
The height of the platform measuring 3000mm x 1800mm (9.8ft x 5.9ft), can Ix set to match any vehicle delivering to the store.
A hinged flap is included to span the small gap between lift and vehicle, while a safety trip automatically stops the lifl from lowering should it encounter the slightest obstruction.
