Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FIDUS CONTROLS LTD of Middlefields Industrial Estate, South Shields, manufacturer of vehicle fuel saving and control devices, has added a power take-off controller (pto) to its range.

A solid-state control box, which receives information from an electric probe aimed at the pto shaft, operates a pneumatic cylinder to pull back the fuel rack.

Maximum shaft speed is pre-set to the customers' own needs, typically at around 1300rpm, and cannot be altered by the driver.

The system, said to be unique to Fidus Controls, also prohibits the vehicle being driven away while the pto is engaged.

A two-stage unit can be supplied to control two operations, each with different maximum speeds if required.

Prices start from £260 ex-works.
