• Today, Friday, the Minister for Transport Industries is expected to bring before the House of Commons regulations specifying which vehicles must be fitted with reflective registration plates. It is understood that commercial vehicles which require to be fitted with rear reflector markers under the Motor Vehicles (Rear Markings)Regulations 1970 are being exempted. This will mean that only goods vehicles under three tons unladen and registered on and after January 1 1973 will be covered by the regulations.
