eight-wheeled lorries which, as reported exclusively in "The Commercial Motor," the Bristol Tramways and Carriage Co., Ltd., is to build for the British Transport Commission.
The type 0.600 six-cylindered directinjection oil engine is the unit chosen. Slight modifications will be made to make it suitable for the Bristol chassis. These vehicles are understood to be conventional rigid-type machines with light-alloy cabs and bodies. Leyland Motors, Ltd., has orders in hand for over 100 Octopus vehicles for the B.T.C.
