• Mercers (Longridge) Ltd., coach operators from Longridge, were fined £25 for using a motor coach without a p.s.v. licence, at Pres7 ton County magistrates' court on Monday.
The offence was committed on March 1, 1969, and four previous convictions were brought to the court's notice. The company was also fined £5 for failing to display an "on-hire" label when it was working for another operator, and was ordered to pay £7 7s costs. • The Freightliners Ltd. western area services assistant told the Western deputy LA, Mr. A. C. Caffin, in Plymouth on Tuesday that present vehicles could not cope with the increased demand for railway Freightliners in the Plymouth area. It was granted an unopposed application for an Alicence for four artics conditioned general goods, Devon and Cornwall, subject to the surrender of two vehicles with a normal user of "within 25 miles of the Plymouth depot"
