Mail order

CHRYSLER United Kingdom has received a Post Office order for 1,185 Spacevans worth over £2.5 million: This will bring the total number of • Dodge vans to be delivered to the Post Office this year to 2,485.

The latest order is for third-door Spacevans fitted with Chrysler's 1,725cc petrol engine.

The Dodge Truck plant at Dunstable will instal interior racking and. binning, plus a roof-mounted rack, ladder and warning lights. Fifty-five vans will be finished in Post Office Red, and 1,130 in Telecommunications Yellow livery.

Volvo sales

SALES of Volvo commercial vehicles rose by 22 per cent in the last year to Skr 3,634 million against Skr 2,990 million in 1975. Bus sales were up a third from Skr 321 million in 1975 to Skr 428 million.

The company's annual report reveals that 27,000 commercial vehicles were sold by Volvo during 1976, accounting for around 25 per cent of the group's turnover.

Ford dealers

FORD has appointed two new dealers for its psv range. They are Yeates of Salisbury and Kingsforth Bus and Coach of Thurcroft who will be offering sales and service for Ford public service vehicles.

Ernie Waterman is to be the general manager of the Yeates depot which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Yeates of Loughborough company.

Kingsforth is a relatively new company, but both companies will be operating comprehensive sales and service teams.

AP move

AUTOMOTIVE Products' distribution division has moved its head office to a new complex overlooking the Lancashire County Cricket ground at Stretford, Manchester.

The new office will be handling the distribution of Lockheed Brakes, Borg and Beck Clutches, AP silencers and filters and other proprietary parts.
