Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

An hydraulically driven drum winch manufactured by Hill Lushington Ltd is now available for fitting to Land-Rover vehicles. It is known as the Hil!co and is designed for front mounting. An oil-pressure valve prevents overloading.

Said to be particularly suitable for self-recovery operations, notably in difficult terrain, the winch can also be used for retrieving vehicles, obstacle removal, overhead cable work, boat handling and mole ploughing. Electricity Boards, the forestry commission, airport authorities end emergency services are currently employing the winch.

Driven from the power takeoff, the winch is controlled by a single lever inside the cab. It features a drum release control which disengages the power drive and allows rapid run-out of the cable prior to power winding. Braking is by worm and wheel. The winch has a line pull of 40001h (1800kg) and line speed is variable. It is normally supplied with 100ft

of (9mrn) wire rope and LS available with roue lengths of iin. (8mm) and +in. (6mm).

The winch has been officially tested and approved by the Rover Car Company and fitting can be undertaken by a local Rover dealer. A specialized fitting service is available from Spencer Abbott and Co Ltd, 51 Tyburn Road, Birmingham B24 8NN. This company has been officially appointed by the Rover company to fit Land-Rover accessories. Hill Lushington is a member of the British Syphon Industries Group.
