rAILURE to obtain increases in workmen's fares was one reason for the deficit of £1,197 made by Tees`-side .Railless Traction Board last year; the chairman stated recently.
The Board'sfinancial position was discussed at a meeting of Eston Urban District Council, which, with Middlesbrough Corporation, partly ,owns the undertaking. Eston hasbeen asked to meet £798 of the loss. It was stated that the Board's reserve funds had been exhausted,
