Being a director of Spartruk Limited and, consequently, in the transport industry myself, I hope I can be forgiven for using my position in asking for your assistance in promoting a function in aid of charity and the Queen's Jubilee Appeal.

Andover Branch of the Lions Club are holding a Cavalcade of Transport on April 29 and 30, 1978. The dates we have selected are the last two official days of Jubilee Year. The venue is the Andover Airfield, adjacent to the A303 and we anticipate exhibitions ranging from model transport, motorcycles, cars, trucks, passenger service vehicles and possibly even a horse-drawn transport section.

It is the first event of this nature ever to be held in Andover and we have already secured the backing of many local companies, who are taking advertising space in the souvenir programme or stand space at the function itself.

We are still calling for exhibitors and also have vacancies for more stallholders and this is whore I am hoping for your help by perhaps publicising the event in your journal.

M BIRCH, Cavalcade chairman Andover Lions Club, Hants.
