A COMPREHENSIVE range of transport and garage equipment has been on display, this week, in the first Garagequip exhibition, held at Olympia.
The five-day exhibition, organised by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders for the Garage Equipment Association, is expected to become a biennial event.
More than 80 exhibitors have been taking part and many of their products are making a first appearance.
Among these new products is a 16-tonne (15.74 tons) capacity four-post heavy vehicle lift from Tecalemit. It is known as the Comtech Mk 2 and is operated by a single push-button control.

Air option
A new range of hydraulic trollery jacks — all available with air assistance as an option — are making a first appearance on the Epco stand.
Kismet Dynaflex, the Bedford based equipment maker, has on display a machine known as the 'Truck, Checkwear.'
This equipment allows quick and easy checking of. king pin wear and other defects on a lorry's front axle. Two moveable plates — air operated — move the sheels in fore and aft of lateral direction to pinpoint excessive movement. A 12-volt inspection lamp, which incorporates a thumb switch to operate the plates, is the only control needed.
Autosense, the computeroperated vehicle test system maker, is offering a new-machines-for-old deal during Garagequip.
When a customer buys a new Autosense machine, he will be entitled to a part-exchange allowance against his old unit. This can be as much as 90 per cent and its invoice value for a year-old machine or 30 per cent if the machine is more than two years old.
