• The Freight Transport Association is to investigate whether hauliers could win discounts from London congestion charges by proving they are following best practice methods on environmental issues.

Moody was reacting to comments reportedly made by Mayor of London Ken Livingstone to the Commons Transport Select Committee last week. He warned that the charge, set £5 for commercial vehicles a cars when the scheme is liar duced next February, could ri to £10 in the next 18 months.
