• Four men cFlarged with conspiracy to defraud the creditors of two Norih-East freight forwarders have been remanded on unconditional bail until 9 December.

Neil Martin, Michael Heller, Robert Dickson and John Savage were all facing charges last week at Pontefract magistrates court for conspiracy to defraud the creditors of both Allied Imports and Akcent Europa. The hearing was adjourned.

Both companies were based at Leeds and ceased trading at the end oF the summer of 1993 owing around 60 international hauliers 2750,000. Norbert Dentressangle lost around £75,000.

The Four men are also charged with defrauding the creditors of Akcent Europa.
