NEXT YEAR's Road Haulage Association Tipping Convention wil the best ever, an RHA spokesman predicted this week, and lead industrial and political personalities are expected to appear.
While the vehicle display is likely to be around this year's figure level, considerable extra space is being devoted to ancill equipment exhibits, with a hall in the new Harrogate confere centre having been reserved for the convention, which runs fr May 13 to 16.
Former British Steel chairman Sir Monty Finniston is expecte( give a lunchtime speech, and, in addition to the first Tipcon addr by RHA director-general Freddie Plaskett, it is also hoped to ha\ very senior politician present. Two years ago, former Prime Mini; Sir Harold Wilson spoke at Tipcon.
