The 3,2m (10.5ft) Wheelbase 384onne unit is fitted with a 15-litre (915cuin) V8 engine producing 224kW (301bhp) art 2,300rpm and 1,045Nm (7711bft) 'torque at 1,600rpm. The Berliet eightspeed constant-mesh gearbox with two adjacent four-speed gates is 'specified for this model, as is the Berliet 13tonne rear axle.

The TR280 and TR320 are fitted with the same cab.

Exhibited in chassis-cab form, the bonneted GBH 280 6X4 off-road tipper is designed to operate at up to 36 tonnes (35.4 tons) gvw and is specified with the same six-cylinder 12-litre engine as the TR280.

The Berliet BH-30 30-tonne tandem-drive two-spring rear bogie is 'specified with doublere.duction axles; across-axle and inter-axle differential locks are 'standard.
