Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• An offset-cone end having a new type of woven Terylene aeration membrane is a feature of the Kwikchange discharge system of the Mk. VII version of the Bonallack Pneumajector. Even the "most difficult" materials, can, it is claimed, be discharged at a rate of a ton a minute, and because no residue is left in the tank the need for a second blow to empty the tank is eliminated.

The Mk. VII is available in any size from 325 cu. ft capacity to 1,550 cu, ft., at models being equipped with a mixing chamber valve and a Sin. outlet. The low weight derived from constructing the tanks of high-tensile aluminium alloy is exemplified by the 550 Cu, ft. model which weighs 1 ton 9T, cwt complete with tipping gear. When the tank is tipped the rear end forms a conical-bottomed hopper, the Terylene aeration pad being placed vertically at the apex of the offset cone at the back of the tank. After the material has been fluidized by the pad it is blown out of the discharge pipe in a steady stream discharged is surge-free.

Almost any type of bulk load can be discharged by the system, ranging from fine powders to animal feeds. If required the aeration pad can be rep/aced and the end refitted within 30min. The Tunnel Cement company has been supplied with 20 Mk. VII Pneumajectors of SSO Cu. ft. capacity which are mounted on Hands single-axle semi-trailers coupled to two-axle tractive units. The unladen weight of the outfits is 8 tons 3-(-cwt, of which the semi-trailer and tank accounts for 3 tons 12icwt. Compressed air is provided by a Wellworthy two-stage blower weighing 5 icwt, which is mounted on the tractive unit.
