THE IMPETUS given to the doyourself movement by Peter Thompson and his cohorts Intl National Freight Consortium gathers momentum. Two form employees of British Rail have now set up a company to take over British Transport Hotels Superbreak holidays. Staff whc administered the service have been engaged.
Peter may also have lit a beacon for seven redundant GEC electrical engineers. They have combined in a co-operativ and won a £100,000 contract to the maintenance of Sheffield's 250 sets of traffic lights until 1985. They have wrested the business from GEC and Plessey and are said to be saving South Yorkshire ratepayers £113,000.
