• "Ford Code", which encourages body makers and equipment suppliers to mount their products on Ford trucks efficiently and safely, has been extended to include all Transit variants.
First issued in April 1970 for heavy commercial vehicle application, the code manual, now up-dated, has already been accepted by over 300 firms as a basis for agreement with Ford on mounting techniques.
The new manual for Transits becom available this week. It was compil following extensive liaison with members the industry, and incorporates many helpi suggestions and comments from all over t country. It is supported by numero explanatory illustrations and its subjec include general mounting principles, pai finishes, vehicle inspection and warrar matters. The new Transit manual, togeth with the up-dated truck manual, is availat from Room 1/343, Ford Motor Co Li Warley, Essex, and will be maili automatically to all bodybuilders al equipment suppliers.
