West Hartlepool Fares Up: West Hartlepool Corporation has been granted permission to raise fares on nearly all its bus services, with effect from May 30. Adult fares on all but two minor routes are affected. The higher fares from 9d. to Is. 2d. wilt he raised by 2d. and the middle fares (the second 4d. and 5d. stages and the second and third 6d. and 8d. stages) by Id. The Traffic Commissioners also granted United Automobile Services Ltd. permission to make any consequential increases from the same date.
