Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Seat Terra diesel van now boasts increased power and torque from a larger VW diesel engine. The 1,398cc unit replaces the 1,272cc engine launched last May.

The new engine produces 35kW (47hp) at 4,500rpm and 85Nm (62lbft) of torque at 2,900rpm — increases of 29 and 12% respectively.

The extra capacity has been achieved by increasing the stroke from 72.0mm to 79.1nun. Compression ratio is also up, from 22.0: to 22.3:1.

Price of the Terra diesel is up £163 on the 1.3 to £4,490 (ex-VAT).

The diesel model accounted for around 50% of Terra sales in 1990.
