Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A series of demonstrations for major vehicle builders and operators, of wheel safety and security systems will take place during April.

Transport Security Systems of Brentford produces a variety of run-fiat devices which can be fitted to com mercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes gross weight The fyron is said to he the most effective of the varied devices for small vehicles. It can be fitted in five minutes, and costs about .E150 plus VAT for the six wheels, and the spare on a twin-rear-wheel 3.5 tonne van.

The Tyron safety band is a steel strip which is fitted into and fills the wheel well before a newly-fitted tyre is inflated. Should the tyre blow out, the band prevents the tyre from rolling off the rim, and preserves most of the tread footprint on the road.

There will he two demonstrations in the north and the south of the country, although the venues have not yet been decided. More infon-nation can be obtained from John Savage at TSS on 01-847 3107.
