TELFORD-based Quest 80 has completed its first "Q-type" side-engined single deck bus chassis which is now being shipped to South Africa.
The first bus which will be fitted with 12m bodywork in South Africa, is fitted with Dunlop air suspension, a Mercedes Benz 407 engine, and semi-automatic Self-Changing-Gears gearbox.
A second chassis is currently being built with steel spring suspension and vehicles with alternative gearboxes are also being constructed. Quest 80 is also looking into building dieselpowered or trolleybus chassis for other African and European markets.
