• On Wednesday the name of the former BRS Federation Ltd. was changed to the National Freight Federation (NFC) Ltd. based at Argosy House, 215 Gt. Portland Street, London, WIN 6BD, which will also supersede the THC Freight Association Ltd.
The National Freight Federation will in particular, undertake the formulation of common policies, the handling of national negotiations and consultations with the trade unions and will also serve as a focal point for the provision of specialized common services.
The Federation comprises the National Freight Corporation and the principal companies within the Corporation.
The Council of the Federation comprises Sir Reginald Wilson (chairman), W. R. Alexander, N. H. Bryan, M. K. Bustard, J. Chambers, J. C. Chester, H. W. Elliott, T. G. Gibb, P. A. Land, H. E. Osborn, L. S. Payne, G. W. Quick Smith, P. W. Swindells, J. B. Wild, J. G. Woollam. The secretary and chief officer of the National Freight Federation, as of the two former bodies, is E. G. Marsden.
