a warehouse full of stolen unidentified gear after thieves took a Mercedes-Benz 3025K late in April. Unfortunately they did not find the truck when they raided the warehouse four weeks ago, but they may get some clues from suspects. Enquiries continue.

The truck belongs to Manchester-based Cleanaway, which lost the El 30,000 vehicle from Sandbach Services on Friday 22 April. Its registration number is G324 AVX chassis number is 61903425440101, and engine number 42290920500338.

Detective Sergeant Bob Lomass at Cheshire Police believes the unit may have been converted into a flatbed. He says the police were soon on to the truck after the theft because it was fitted with a tracker. But by the time they found the warehouse it had been shut up for the day.

"We arrested them when they arrived the next day," he says. The police are keen to identify some of the equipment they found in the warehouse.
