Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

APPLICATIONS are still being received from members of the Forces for inclusion in the index forming the main feature of the " CM." League of Servicemen. We may add that all such applications are cordially welcomed, and although, to save paper and labour, we do not acknowledge receipt of the letters, attention is given to each and the particulars duly noted.

It will remembered that we founded this League about two years ago, with a view to having under our immediate purview as large as possible a list of Servicemen who had either come from the roadtransport industry or who had obtained training and experience in the Forces which would qualify them for positions in it.

As the members of the League be6ome released from the Services or are informed when they will be free, contact will be made with potential employers in an endeavour to have the men suitably placed.

This scheme was, of course, devised before the Government announced its plans forirre-employment, but we take the view that it may well still be of value to both the industry and to the officers and men concerned. It has certainly earned the approval of some well-known employers. ' One or two of them have, in their house magazines sent to the technical branches of the Forces, included references to the League, with the suggestion that those who are interested should communicate with this journal.

For those who have not seen earlier mentions concerning the League, we would point out that it has received the cordial approval of the British Legion.

We would add that the infamation required from prospective members is: --Full name and some permanent address in this country, age, brief details of training and positions held, and/or of any special technical training in the Services, whether or not formerly in the industry, and the class of work for which the applicant believes himself to be best suited. It is also advisable to say whether there is any restriction on the part of the country to which he would be prepared to go.
