Customs grant

LEEDS Containerbase has been granted its own Customs facilities this week by the Customs and Excise — the third base to be given its own facilities.

The Station Presentation of Entries was described by general manager Max Durbin as "a major advantage in saving time for agents." Leeds follows Manchester and Barking in being granted the concession.

Container move

McGREGOR Cory Europe is to move into the East London International Container Depot this month from its export groupage depot at West Thiirrock.

The company says it has outgrown its groupage depot and now its sales and marketing divisions will move into the new Stratford, London, office.

Managing director John Bowers commented: "We are confident that this move will provide both existing and potential customers with an even better service."

RHA yearbook
