THE thanks and admiration of the North Western Licensing Authority are being conveyed to all operators who sent vehicles to help repair the sea wall at Fleetwood, recently breached in a storm, by Mr. W, Farnorth, executive officer of the North Western (Eastern) Area of the Road Haulage Association.
The town was in danger of flooding and an urgent appeal was made for transport to carry stone and other materials. There was an immediate response. The Authority especially appreciates the work of drivers who worked without break lentil the crisis was over.
